The compact and ergonomic design of the GM Optics CleanCore unit permits single handed operation. The operation of the CleanCore unit is as simple as depressing the red lever on the side of the unit which opens the protective cover and advances the cleaning fabric, thereby exposing the next controlled strip of clean fabric.

The CleanCore has been specifically designed to offer the user a revolutionary, portable, and pocket size cleaning solution for fiber optic connectors.

The CleanCore is initially supplied with a removable cartridge containing the fabric which supports 400 cleaning cycles. Replacement cartridges can be purchased and installed into the CleanCore by the simple operation of unscrewing two retaining screws on the side of the unit.

Extensive test data exists to demonstrate that the cleaning cycle is effective at removing fingerprint contamination, dust and other particle contamination, and residues of Isopropyl Alcohol and other liquid and organic contamination which has the potential to adversely impact the operational performance of the fiber optic connector interface.
